Elementary to Advanced Classical Ballet

Introduction to Ballet (ages 8-10 yrs):                       TBD
                                                    
Elementary 1:                        Wednesdays 4:30 to 5:30 pm
                                                  Fridays 3:15 to 4:30 pm + character                                                 
Both classes above are for new beginners with permission.  Intro is a once a week class for slightly older beginners than Primary B.  Intro dancers will later move into Elementary 1 before attempting Elementary 2.  

Elementary 2:                        Wednesdays 5:30 to 7 pm
                                                   Fridays 4:45 to 6:15 pm  

Intermediate 1:                     Mondays 4:45 to 6:15 pm (pre-pointe)
                                                   Tuesdays 4:45 to 6:15 pm
                                                   Thursdays 4:45 to 6:15 pm

Intermediate 2:                     no Intermediate 2 class in 2026-27

Advanced Foundation:        Mondays 4:45 to 6:15 pm (pointe)
                                                   Tuesdays 6:15 to 8 pm
                                                   Thursdays 6:15 to 8 pm
                                                   Saturdays 11:30 am to 1 pm
                                                    

All classical level ballet classes can or will include basic character dance, with some introductions to other more contemporary forms of dance.  Intermediate students who wish to do so, who are taking three classes weekly, are sufficiently well prepared, and are medically and teacher approved, will be permitted to begin pointe work.

Pointe sessions will be regularly included biweekly for Intermediate and Advanced Foundation students on a flexible schedule.  Pointe is not a required technique at CBA, but all students are encouraged to do the work on demi-pointe for strength purposes.

Elementary level students are requested to attend two classes weekly.  Intermediate 1 requires a minimum of two classes a week, with three classes recommended.  Intermediate 2 highly recommends three classes per week.  Advanced levels require a minimum of three classes per week with further training highly recommended.

Company dancers must be Intermediate 1 and above, with director's permission to participate.  The company will rehearse after classes on an irregular schedule, depending on current need and time of year.   Saturday rehearsals may be necessary as our performance times approach!
